Samsquanche goaltender Brandon Eshelby was backl on the ice for the first time following his injury that he suffered a couple weeks ago.
Eshelby was playing in a preseason game on September 7th, when he suffered what appeared to be a grade 2 LCL tear. He was further evaluated a few days later and he had actually suffered a posterior knee capsule strain. After staying off the ice for almost two weeks, this is what he had to say.
"My knee felt a little stiff, but never felt any pain whatsoever. I felt a little scared to put lots of pressure on it, but I'm sure it can only get better from here on out," Eshelby told reporters, "I will be keeping in touch with my physiotherapist for treatment and rehabiltion over the course of the next few moths. I can guarantee that I'll be good to go, hopefully 100% by the time the season is in full swing."
We wish Eshelby all the best in his recovery, and to both fellow Samsquanche 'tender, Ty Banks, and Eshelby in the GSHL draft that takes place on the 29th of September.
