TEAM HISTORY

How It All Began....
The Sunnyvale Samsquanches were officially established on April 4th, 2014, as the Sunnyvale Shiners. The name was changed to the Samsquanches the following season. The Samsquanches are currently entering their third season in the BFHL (Bethlehem Floor Hockey League), and possess both highly skilled prospects and players. Come out and support Sunnyvale, en route to their first ever championship!
The Inaugural Season....
Sunnyvale kicked off their inaugural season with a bang. The team started the season going 4-0-0 until the streak was snapped in their final game of the season. In what seemed to be a promising year, turned into a big disappointment. Sunnyvale failed to advance past the first round after losing out to the 4th placed Stars. Individuals such as, Eshelby, Middlebrook and Hope showed the best of their capabilities, combining for 28 points in five games. Steffen led the league with a record GAA of 1.60 and a solid save percentage of .911%.
The Green Uprising....
On March 1st, 2015, Sunnyvale decided that it was time to break away from the traditional blue & white of Sunnyvale, to green. The project named, The Green Uprising, was developed to attract more fans and to start a whole new chapter for the team. The question is, will it be successful?
The Sophomore Season....
The Samsquanches started the season off slow posting two losses in its first two games, however, the team won all of its remaining games to lock up a postseason spot. Much like the inaugural season, Sunnyvale was destined to make it far, but once again were stopped by a familiar foe, the first placed Infection, formerly known as the Stars. Superstar players from the prior season like Eshelby, Hope and Steffen struggled to find their grooves, but players like Tyler Thibault, the 2015 MVP, and Taylor Unick proved their worth when their time had come.
The Last Rodeo?
With Sunnyvale possibly competing for the last time as a BFHL franchise, the team hopes to capture it all. The team decided to head back to its traditional roots and "Bring Back the Blue". Could the final chapter of this upcoming season be Sunnyvale hoisting the cup?
